Kidnapped teenager found and freed in Trans-Baikal territory

MOSCOW, November 17, /ITAR-TASS/. During the search in Trans-Baikal Territory, Eastern Siberia, a kidnapped 14-year-old teenager was found and freed. “During the search operation a 14-year-old teenager, who was kidnapped in the settlement of Kholbon in Shilka district on November 16, was freed at about 19:00 local time (14:00 Moscow time) on Sunday in Nerchinsk district of Trans-Baikal Territory,” the Russian Investigative Committee said on Sunday.

Not far from the railway station Priiskovaya the police have found the kidnapped boy and the kidnapper. As a result of the talks the kidnapper set the teenager free and threatening the police with an object resembling a grenade escaped in the forest. The local police station was put on alert, the search operation for the kidnapper continues.

The detectives are questioning the eyewitnesses and have already questioned the relatives of the kidnapper and his girlfriend.

On Monday, the detectives plan to question the teenager, now he is strongly exhausted. In his words, the kidnapper called him up on Saturday and asked him to go out from home. In the street the kidnapper threatened the boy with the knife and made him go to the railway station Priiskovaya in Nerchinsk district. They came to the railway station at about 04:00 local time on Sunday (23:00 Moscow time on Saturday). For the whole period of time since the kidnapping the criminal did not eat himself and did not give anything to eat to the teenager.

The suspected kidnapper has earlier met with a 20-year-old sister of the boy, but the girl broke up the relations with him about a month ago. The detectives found that a 26-year-old young man threatened to kill the young woman in an attempt to resume personal relations.

The criminal case was opened for kidnapping of an adolescent.
