He will take part in Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation instead

MOSCOW, October 24 (Itar-Tass) - Speaker of the State Duma, lower house of parliament, Sergei Naryshkin has postponed a visit to Ukraine to take part in the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation, the Duma press service reported on Thursday.

Naryshkin’s working trip to Dnepropetrovsk was scheduled for October 31 to take part in the commission’s session, the press service said.

The 10th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation was held in Voronezh in May 2012.

Meanwhile, Russian and Ukrainian Presidents, Vladimir Putin and Viktor Yanukovich, are expected to meet on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Union summit later in the day for talks on bilateral relations.

Earlier, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said the agenda of the talks “is instructive”.

Ushakov said the agenda also included the problem related to Ukraine’s choice between the associated membership in the EU and the country’s participation in integration process within the Customs Union. “I believe that this issue ‘hangs’ over our relations. Naturally, it will be discussed by the presidents,” he said.
