Around 4,000 law enforcers ensure security in the city during the Eid al-Adha celebrations

MOSCOW, October 15 (Itar-Tass) – Over 60,000 Muslims came to the central mosque in Prospect Mira to celebrate Eid al-Adha which the Muslim world is celebrating on Tuesday. The situation on all the sites of Muslim worship in Moscow is calm, a representative of the Interior department of the Moscow Northeast administrative district, where the central mosque is situated, told Itar-Tass.

Around 4,000 law enforcers ensure security in the city during the Eid al-Adha celebrations. The Muslim believers are not allowed knifelike tools or blades to the worship ceremonies.

The Eid al-Adha celebrations will continue from October 15 to October 17. To enable more believers to attend the sites of religious worship in Moscow the Moscow administration has offered three more sites- near the Izumrudny recreating center, in the October 60th Anniversary park and in the Sokolniki park. To remove the load of the celebrations from the city twenty-five sites have been created for Eid al-Adha celebrations in the Moscow region.

Last year around 150,000 believers took part in Eid al-Adha celebrations in Moscow.
