Students demanded the payment of scholarship

MOSCOW, October 1 (Itar-Tass) - Sixteen students from Nigeria, West Africa, that had broken the furniture at the country’s embassy demanding the payment of scholarship were detained in central Moscow. The materials over the offence committed by foreign citizens were passed in the court, the press service of the Moscow police told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

“The incident occurred on Monday evening at the Nigerian Embassy in Mamonovsky Bystreet, where a group of foreign students had broken the furniture at the conference hall during the inquiry why the scholarships are not paid to them. The police detained 16 people,” the press service said.

In 2012, a group of students has beaten a diplomatic worker of the Nigerian Embassy for the same reasons.
