MOSCOW, September 25 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and British counterpart William Hague met to discuss the situation around Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated on Wednesday after the meeting on the sidelines of the 68th session of the U.N. General Assembly in New York.

“The sides discussed topical issues of bilateral and international agenda with the focus on the current situation in Syria and around it,” the Russian ministry stated.
