SCO scientists to discuss ways to improve economic, ecological cooperation

UFA, September 24 (Itar-Tass) - An international scientific-practical conference of scientists from countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is opening in Ufa on Tuesday. Experts of the leading scientific centres will discuss methods of improving the efficiency of cooperation among the SCO member states in the spheres of the economy, ecology and demography.
Leading expert of the Ufa - 2015 SCO BRICS Office Group Yelena Aryamnova told Itar-Tass that the meeting participants would conduct a macroeconomic analysis of the development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
The main issues on the agenda are the mechanisms to ensure economic security of the regions in the context of contemporary spatial integration of the SCO member states, the prospects for international cooperation for putting into practice the innovative potential of the educational and scientific institutions, the strategy of the innovation and investment cooperation.
The conference will also assess the environmental situation in the SCO countries, as well as consider issues of environmental entrepreneurship development and effective management of recreational resources. Particular attention will be paid to the problems of forming a single coherent economic policy of the SCO, the economic practice and its social consequences, demography, labor markets and migration of the population.
The conference was organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences, the RAS Ufa Scientific Centre, the Academy of Sciences of Bashkortostan, Ufa State University of Economics and Service.
