NAZRAN, September 8 (Itar-Tass) - Ingushetia’s Head-elect Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has taken the oath and assumed the office on Sunday.

His candidature was supported by the republic’s 25 of 27 parliamentary deputies in a secret voting. As the election results were published, Yevkurov thanked the deputies. “We are facing many tasks, and every day is valuable, we need to form the cabinet,” he said.

Yevkurov also asked Ingushetia’s parliament to allow him to take the oath and assume the office on Sunday. “That would be economical, and it will be useful for our republic.”
