MOSCOW, September 2 (Itar-Tass) - Russia hopes that US President Barack Obama will use an invitation to visit Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the traditional annual meeting with students and teachers of the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) here on Monday.

The Minister recalled that several documents were drafted for a Russian - US summit that was to take place in Moscow in early September, but the United States stated that the summit cannot be held.

“The invitation remains in force,” Lavrov confirmed.
