FSB officers detected six explosive devices, equivalent to 50 kg TNT
The Federal Security Service (FSB) has averted a series of terrorist acts in Dagestan, the information centre of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
“FSB officers detected six ready-to-use makeshift explosive devices with an explosive equivalent to 50 kg of TNT at an office of the Rosrybnadzor fishery watchdog in the city of Makhachkala,” the source said.
Explosive devices were made using five-liter paint canisters and metallic pipes filled with shrapnel and detonators.
Militants planned to use these explosive for staging a series of terrorist acts.
