Putin offers condolences to Italian president over road accident

The Russian President conveyed the words of sincere sympathy and support to the families of people, who died in the accident

MOSCOW, July 29 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of condolence to his Italian counterpart Giorgio Napolitano over the death of the passengers in a bus, which crashed on the Naples-Bari highway, the Kremlin press service reported on Monday.

The Russian President conveyed the words of sincere sympathy and support to the families of people, who died in the fatal road accident, as well as wishes for soonest recovery for all injured people.

As many as 38 people died in the bus crash in southern Italy. Ten more injured people are in critical condition. The bus was trafficking the pilgrims to the southern Italian region of Campania to bow to popular Italian modern Saint Pio (Forgione). On Sunday evening, the bus fell down from a height of 35 metres on a hard part of the road.
