MAKHACHKALA, July 25 (Itar-Tass) - A local rabbi suffered an attempt on his life in the Dagestani city of Derbent overnight to Thursday. He was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, a spokesman of the Dagestani Interior Ministry said.

“The crime was committed, when the man was going up to his house. The investigation into the crime continues. The team of detectives is working at the crime scene,” the spokesman said.
