MOSCOW, July 20 (Itar-Tass) - The opposition will not manage in time to elect new its new Coordinating Council, Chairman of the Council’s Central Election Committee Andrei Buzin said on Saturday.

“We shall not be able to have elections in October. We are not ready for them,” he told the Council member discussion on Saturday. The Council failed to organise its another regular meeting due to a lack of the quorum, where only 13 of 40 members showed up on Saturday.

Moscow’s mayoral candidate Alexei Navalny, as well as Boris Nemtsov and Ilya Yashin came to the venue. They decided to have a discussion session, which, however, is not entitled for any decisions.

The Coordinating Council was elected in autumn of 2012 by means of the Internet voting, which involved about 100,000 users. The Council replaced the organising committee of protest rallies of winter 2011-2012.
