TOKYO, July 15 (Itar-Tass) - Talks between South Korea and the DPRK on further fate of the Kaesong Industrial Complex did not contribute the parties to reaching agreement, Yonhap News Agency reported.

Details are not available till now.

During the talks, the parties hoped to determine the conditions for resuming the work of the Industrial Complex, which is idle within more than three months.

Earlier, the DPRK and the Republic of Korea reached agreement in principle to resume the work of the Kaesong Industrial Complex. It has started operating since 2004 and it is the symbol of inter-Korean reconciliation and cooperation. The parties agreed not to prevent trips to the industrial zone to study operating machinery and equipment exporting.

There are 123 South Korean companies in the industrial zone. Over 800 citizens of the Republic of Korea and about 53,000 North Korean citizens worked there. The complex was closed for the first time over nine years of its existence. Previously, the complex functioned when relations between the DPRK and the Republic of Korea worsened seriously.
