Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Alexander Lukashevic claims Georgia's position brings up many questions among the countries engaged in the consultations

MOSCOW, July 5 (Itar-Tass) - A wrapping up of Geneva discussions on security and stability in South Caucasus is off the agenda at the moment, Alexander Lukashevich, the official spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday.

“We’re not speaking about the wrapping-up of these discussions yet, as their format is extremely important for maintaining the level of trust between the sovereign nations that emerged after the Georgian forces’ aggression in August 2008,” he said.

“Still the Georgian representatives’ position brings up many questions not only here in Moscow but also in Abkhazia and South Ossetia /the two young South Caucasian countries also engaged in the consultations - Itar-Tass/,” Lukashevich said.

“That’s why responsibility for the future of the Geneva discussions fully rests with the Georgian side,” he said.
