KEMEROVO, July 5 (Itar-Tass) - The search mission to find the miner trapped in the Vladimirskaya mine in the Kemerovo Region continues the second day.

Rescuers have removed 34 cubic meters of rock by Friday morning, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s regional department told Itar-Tass.

The work is continuing under temporary timbering.

A rockfall has occured at Section One of the Vladimirskaya mine late on July 3 during reinforcing works.

At this moment, 59 people were underground, including three at the cave-in place. Contact with one of them has been lost.

For the safety of the rescue operation, it is necessary to place supporting constructions to prevent further rock collapse, nevertheless, it complicates the work.

The Russian Investigative Committee has launched an inquiry into the mine accident. Mining work is halted there.
