MOSCOW, July 2 (Itar-Tass) - The first rescue teams have arrived at a possible Mi-8 helicopter crash site in Yakutia, a source at the press service of the Far Eastern regional center of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations, told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

"A group of rescue volunteers on two cross-country vehicles arrived in the Ust-Yansky district and started searching the area where a Mi-8 helicopter is believed to have made a tough landing,” the source went on to say.

Another Mi-8 helicopter of the Polar Airlines, with rescuers and medical staff onboard, is carrying out an air reconnaissance in the area of the accident.

"Neither the people nor the helicopter have been found so far. No deaths or casualties have been reported,” the Far Eastern regional center of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations said.
