Over 200 dwelling houses stay flooded in Russia’s Central and Volga federal districts

A total of 215 people have been evacuated from the flooded areas

MOSCOW, April 4 (Itar-Tass) – More than 200 dwelling houses are still flooded in Russia’s Central and Volga federal districts, a spokesman for the Russian emergencies ministry told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

“As many as 221 houses and 201 household plots are flooded in eight settlements in six regions,” the spokesman said. A total of 215 people have been evacuated from the flooded areas. They are staying at their relatives’. Apart from that, as many as 38 low-rise bridges and two sections of motor roads have been flash flooded.

“The floods have not affected life-support facilities and systems. Works are underway to remove the consequences of the floods,” the spokesman added.

In all, according to the spokesman, the flood situation has stabilized.
