Famous Russian actor Andrei Panin found dead in his flat in south-western Moscow

MOSCOW, March 7 (Itar-Tass) – A famous Russian actor Andrei Panin was found dead with a head injury in his flat in south-western Moscow, the press service of the Moscow police department reported on Thursday.
“Andrei Panin was found dead with a head wound at 18, Balaklavsky Avenue, on Thursday,” the press service reported.
The team of detectives is working at the murder scene.
A famous Russian actor Andrei Panin was found dead, a source in the law enforcement agencies said. The relatives failed to get in touch with him for four days, an acquaintance of the actor came to his home on Thursday and found Panin dead with the head wound.
Andrei Panin, 50, is the Honorary Artist of Russia. In 1991 he graduated from the theatrical school of the Moscow Art Theatre (Alexander Kalyagin’s chair of the school) and became an actor of the Moscow Chekhov Art Theatre.
His stage work includes Three Sisters (Soleny), The Miserly Knight, Marriage, Deadly Number, and a private production of Winter after writer Yevgeny Grishkovets. Panin often acts in Oleg Tabakov's productions.
Panin is also famous in Russia for his many roles in the films. Andrei Panin gained popularity thanks to his roles in Maxim Pezhemsky's Mama, Don’t Cry and Denis Yevstigneyev's Mama, the TV series Kamenskaya and “The Border. Taiga’s Romance” and the TV detective series Brigade.
