MAKHACHKALA, February 14 (Itar-Tass) – The death toll from Thursday morning’s bomb blast at the traffic police post in Dagestan’s Khasavyurt has grown to four. Dagestan’s Interior Ministry has told Itar-Tass “the body of non-commissioned officer Salim Shamilov was found several hours after the explosion.’” Earlier, he was listed as missing.

The first reports said a car bomb explosion with a yield ranging 100-120 kilograms of TNT left three dead, six police killed and one missing. The incident occurred at 05:00 Moscow time.

According to the investigators, the driver of a car, stopped for a document check at a traffic police post outside Khasavyurt, set off a bomb stuffed with shrapnel. The police post building was heavily damaged. The blast left a crater 1.5 meters deep and four meters wide.
