Russia's UN envoy calls out US for false claims about Russia-DPRK collusion
"The United States is propagating knowingly fake information, without even bothering to warn its direct underlings about this," he said
UNITED NATIONS, January 10. /TASS/. The United States is propagating misinformation about Russia’s alleged use of North Korean missiles without even bothering to warn its counterparts, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said at a UN Security Council meeting.
"The United States is propagating knowingly fake information, without even bothering to warn its direct underlings about this," he said.
"On Friday, another piece of fake news on this issue was spread live on air by John Kirby, a White House representative. One thing sticks out here. On the same day, Spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Yury Ignat refuted that information, saying that Kiev has no such evidence," the diplomat said.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has reiterated that Western countries’ allegations about illegal military and technical cooperation between Russia and North Korea are unfounded and are not backed by any evidence. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier dismissed Washington’s claims that Pyongyang provided military aid to Moscow as pure speculation.
