Ukrainian drone shot down above Russia’s Saratov Region

MOSCOW, January 10. /TASS/. Russian air defenses shot down a fixed-wing Ukrainian drone above the country’s Saratov Region in the Volga Area on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Earlier today, the Kiev regime’s attempt to stage a terrorist attack on facilities in Russia using a fixed-wing drone was foiled. On-duty air defenses destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle above the territory of the Saratov Region," the ministry said.

The region’s governor Roman Busargin wrote on Telegram that the drone had caused no damage.

"No injuries were reported, and no damage to infrastructure in populated areas. All facilities are operating as normal," he said in a statement.
