MOSCOW, January 9. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian drone and an Uragan MLRS projectile over the Belgorod Region bordering Ukraine, the Russian defense ministry said.

"At about 7:30 p.m. Moscow time (4:30 p.m. GMT) on January 9, the Kiev regime’s attempted terrorist attack on facilities in Russia’s territory with the use of a fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle an Uragan multiple launch missile system was thwarted. One Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle and one Ukrainian MLRS projectile were destroyed over the Belgorod Region," it said.
