Woman killed in Ukrainian strike on apartment building in Donetsk

DONETSK, January 4. /TASS/. A female civilian has been killed and a man has been rescued from under the rubble of a collapsed concrete floor panel after a Ukrainian shelling attack on an apartment building in Donetsk’s Kuibyshevsky neighborhood, the Emergencies Ministry’s branch for the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said on its Telegram channel.
Donetsk Mayor Alexey Kulemzin said earlier that the Ukrainian armed forces had shelled an apartment building on Narvskaya Street in Donetsk and there were casualties.
"It was reported at 1:00 p.m. (10:00 a.m. GMT) that an explosive object had hit an apartment on the second floor of a residential building in the Kuibyshevsky neighborhood of Donetsk. A fire brigade and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene," the statement said. "Two people were trapped under the rubble. Rescuers pulled the dead body of a woman from under the rubble."
It is specified that the injured man, who was in shock and suffering from shrapnel wounds, was handed over to an ambulance crew. One piece of equipment and four people were involved from the Russian Emergencies Ministry in the DPR.
