MOSCOW, January 1. /TASS/. Russia is significantly increasing weapons production, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with service members.

He pointed out that the Ukrainian army would quickly run out of the weapons provided from the West. "As for us, we are increasing [weapons production], and we are increasing it significantly," Putin stressed.

In this regard, the head of state noted that the Ukrainian army had received 400 to 450 tanks, while Russia "will produce and repair 1,600 tanks in a year.".
