MOSCOW, December 30. /TASS/. Most of the missiles and projectiles fired by Ukraine at Russia’s city of Belgorod were intercepted by Russian air defense systems, the Russian defense ministry said.

"Air defense systems intercepted the Olkha missiles and most of the Vampire projectiles. Several projectiles and cluster warheads from the downed Olkhas hit Belgorod," it said.

"Should the Olkha missiles with cluster munitions hit the city, the consequences would have been much more dramatic," it added.
