In Vladivostok, the admiral heard reports by the Pacific Fleet command on the results of combat training in 2023 and assigned Pacific Fleet sailors tasks for 2024
MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Nikolay Yevmenov inspected the infrastructure of the Pacific Fleet in the Primorye Region and Kamchatka in Russia’s Far East as well as ship repairs at regional defense companies, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
In Vladivostok, the admiral heard reports by the Pacific Fleet command on the results of combat training in 2023 and assigned Pacific Fleet sailors tasks for 2024.
"The Pacific Fleet will continue to play a huge role in maintaining and strengthening stability in the Asia-Pacific region. Pacific Fleet sailors are facing the most important tasks to ensure the absolute security of sea and ocean routes in their zone of responsibility. For that purpose, more nuclear and non-nuclear powered submarines as well as the latest warships of all classes will continue to be added to the Pacific Fleet," the Russian defense agency quoted Yevmenov as saying following his tour of inspection.
The admiral added that, as part of combat training, the Pacific Fleet would continue cooperation with other Russian fleets for the implementation of tasks in the Arctic and other regions.
