MOSCOW, December 24. /TASS/. Russia’s New People and Party of Growth political parties signed a unification agreement. According to TASS correspondent, the document was signed by the leaders of political associations - Alexey Nechaev and Boris Titov.
"All healthy forces of our time must unite," Nechaev said. In turn, Boris Titov noted, "This is a significant step forward." We appreciate it greatly and hope for continued success. He compared party representatives to entrepreneurs who are continuously looking for the best answer. "Today, we require an optimal economy that fosters business growth. Only a strong professional state can steer it in the correct direction," Titov added.
Titov noted that the question of the name of the association will be decided later.
The New People congress also unanimously decided to select State Duma Deputy Speaker Vladislav Davankov as the party's candidate in the next presidential elections in March 2024. Davankov's nomination was supported by all 69 delegates.
The party candidate will submit the necessary registration documents to the Russian Central Election Commission on December 25.
