MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has set a task of increasing the efficiency of power bodies at all levels.

"We will continue to improve democratic institutions and mechanisms of grass-roots democracy and local self-rule, mechanisms of people’s direct participation in the development of the country, regions and municipalities," he said at the congress of the ruling United Russia party. "The most important task is to boost the efficiency of all level of public power. A lot of work is to be done for that.".
