MOSCOW, December 16. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops sustained roughly 90 casualties and lost a D-20 howitzer in the south Donetsk direction in the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a report.

"In the south Donetsk direction, units of [Russia’s] Battlegroup East, supported by army aviation and artillery, repelled three attacks by Ukraine’s 79th Air Assault Brigade near Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the report reads.

According to it, Ukraine also lost three armored combat vehicles and four cars.
