Iron ore mine near Russia’s Kursk operating normally following drone attack — officials
The incident did not affect the company’s production activity, the Kursk Region’s government said
MOSCOW, December 16. /TASS/. The Mikhailovsky iron ore mine is operating normally after a drone attack at the Zheleznogorsk District outside of Kursk, with electricity supply to a mine facility restored, the borderline Kursk Region’s government said on its Telegram channel.
"The Mikhailovsky GOK [mining and processing plant] is operating normally. Repair services promptly restored power supply to one of the plant’s facilities in the wake of a drone attack. The incident did not affect the company’s production activity," the government said.
Earlier, the Kursk Region’s governor, Roman Starovoit, reported that a power transmission line supplying electricity to a Mikhailovsky GOK facility had been damaged in a Ukrainian drone attack at the Zheleznogorsk District, located northwest of Kursk.
