Russia, China should be both partners and strategic friends - ombudsman
Boris Titov said that both sides had held a lot of various events
BEIJING, November 29. /TASS/. Russia and China should not only strengthen the relations of comprehensive partnership, but also view each other as friends integrated by strategic ties, Co-chair of the Russian-Chinese Friendship, Peace and Development Committee, Russian Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs' Rights Boris Titov said at a meeting with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng.
"And if the main task of our committee is set correctly, this is not for us to become strategic partners, which we have already achieved, but to become strategic friends," he stressed.
Moscow and Beijing actively cooperate with each other, Titov noted. He also extended gratitude for China’s efficient partnership.
"It should be noted that we have held a lot of various events indeed, <…> which creates new atmosphere of friendship between our peoples," the official concluded.
The Russian-Chinese Friendship, Peace and Development Committee is an interstate nongovernmental entity set up in 1997 by heads of the two countries. Its plenary meeting will be held on November 30 in Beijing.
