BEIJING, October 30. /TASS/. The Western approach, which calls for a "strategic defeat" of Russia, effectively eliminates the possibility of productive security conversations, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said at the 10th Xiangshan Security Forum.

"Russia is open to discussing and resolving any security issues if the dialogue is fair, equal, and based on the mutual respect between parties. However, fruitful negotiations in this area are unlikely unless the West revises its destructive policy, which involves inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia," Shoigu warned.
