TEHRAN, October 23. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will arrive in Tehran on Monday to participate in a ministerial meeting of the 3+3 consultative regional platform on the South Caucasus.

The 3+3 consultations involve the participation of three countries from the region (Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia) as well as their closest neighbors (Russia, Iran and Turkey). The first meeting in this format was held at the level of deputy foreign ministers from five countries (Georgia abstained) in Moscow on December 10, 2021. The current meeting will be the first one at the level of foreign ministers.
