Russian Finance Minister shares impressions of flying on board of MC-21 jet
According to Anton Siluanov, it is on par with the best western counterparts
MOSCOW, July 30. /TASS/. The MC-21 passenger jet is on par with the best western counterparts, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told TASS in an interview.
"An excellent one. It is on par with the best Western counterparts. Good sound insulation, a comfortable cabin, and ergonomic domestically made seats are there. The cockpit is a modern one," the minister said, sharing his impressions of flying on board of the MC-21.
"By the way, the upgraded Tu-214 [passenger jet] will be as efficient as Boeing and Airbus [airplanes]. I would like to see these aircraft flying with passengers on ordinary scheduled routes as soon as possible," Siluanov added.
Anton Siluanov and Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov made a flight on board of the MC-21 on June 22 to attend the meeting on civil aviation projects at the Kazan aviation plant.
