Africa is still suffering from terrorism, for the countries of the continent it is important to work in the field of security, without which stability and, consequently, economic development cannot be achieved. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this talking to reporters following the results of the Second Russia-Africa Summit.

"There is a great demand for joint work in the field of security. Africa is still suffering from terrorism," he said, adding that this problem is observed in many African regions and countries.

According to Putin, security is necessary for stability in domestic politics and economic development.

"To ensure that the economy can develop well - we all know this well - stability in domestic politics is needed. And stability is impossible if security is not ensured," the head of state concluded.
