MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Activities by foreign special services and nationalist organizations have been listed as threats to Russian national security in a decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin that was published on a government website on Wednesday.

The decree amends the Strategy of State Anti-Narcotics Policy that was adopted in 2020 to run until 2030.

According to the decree, the list of threats to national security in the area of drug trafficking and the area of fighting drug trafficking includes "activities by special services and extremist organizations, including nationalist organizations, of foreign countries that are complicit in illegal production and smuggling of drugs and their illegal distribution in the Russian Federation."

In addition, the amended strategy removed North American countries from the list of countries, with which Russia develops bilateral cooperation in the counternarcotics area. It also said cooperation with continue only with those European countries that are interested in it.
