Russian diplomat says Danish ambassador provided only generalities when summoned to MFA
"During a meeting today he said all measures were being taken to examine the situation, considering the security and economic aspects, essentially not going beyond generalities," Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said
MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Danish Ambassador Jakob Henningsen spoke only in general terms about the investigation of the Nord Stream explosion when he was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement on Monday.
The diplomat said Moscow took note of reports that the Nord Stream 2 AG company found an object in the exclusive economic zone of Denmark at a distance of 30 kilometers from the site of the sabotage, which is not part of the Nord Stream, but could be a part of an explosive device.
"The Danish ambassador, who was summoned to the Russian MFA last week, was unaware of that fact at the time. During a meeting today he said all measures were being taken to examine the situation, considering the security and economic aspects, essentially not going beyond generalities," Zakharova said.
