Russia’s COVID-19 case tally grows by 5,918 - crisis center

661 people were hospitalized with COVID-19, 51 coronavirus patients died

MOSCOW, November 27./TASS/. Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 5,919 over the past day versus 6,088 a day earlier, amounting overall to 21,574,764, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Sunday.

As many as 661 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, down from 1,321 a day earlier (50-percent decline). The number of hospitalized patients rose in seven regions and declined in 69, while in nine regions the figure remained the same.

Meanwhile, Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 4,174 over the past day against 5,088 a day earlier, reaching 20,982,028 overall, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters. As many as 51 coronavirus patients died in Russia in the past day against 53 fatalities reported on Saturday, bringing the overall figure of coronavirus fatalities to 391,840, it added.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases grew by 1,061 against 1,212 a day earlier, reaching 3,253,713, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. Fourteen coronavirus patients died and 683 recovered in the past day, it said. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 547 over the past day against 501 a day earlier, totaling 1,797,179. Fourteen coronavirus patients died in Russia’s second biggest city in the past 24 hours, and 296 patients have recovered.
