Lugansk republic foils Ukrainian saboteurs’ attempt to blow up preschools — ministry
According to the LPR State Security Ministry, acts of sabotage and terrorism have been foiled in the republic’s northern frontline areas
LUGANSK, October 8. /TASS/. The Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) has thwarted Ukrainian saboteurs’ attempt to carry out explosions at preschools, the LPR State Security Ministry said on Saturday.
"Acts of sabotage and terrorism have been foiled in the republic’s northern frontline areas. As a result of operative and investigative measures, the activity of a subversive/reconnaissance group of Ukraine’s armed forces, which was plotting to plant mines and blow up civilian infrastructure and pre-school educational institutions, was suppressed," the ministry said in a statement on its website.
"We were supposed to plant mines under a bridge and a couple of designated facilities. As I realized later, they were kindergartens," one of the detained man said in a video posted on the LPR security ministry’s website.
The ministry said that the investigation is underway to establish all those involved in preparations for the acts of sabotage and terrorism.
