Putin signs bill on registration of foreign companies in Russia into law
The amendments concern the terms of registration of a foreign holding company in the Russian Federation
MOSCOW, May 1. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a bill easing the tax registration of foreign companies in the event of opening a bank account into law. In particular, the measure is necessary for paying for gas supplies in rubles. The document on amending the Tax Code was released on the official portal of legal information on Sunday.
The amendments concern the terms of registration of a foreign holding company in the Russian Federation. Particularly, the process of recognition of a holding company, whose participants are sanctioned, is eased, a new foundation for tax registration of foreign organizations is introduced due to the opening of an account in a Russian bank. In the previous version of the Russian Tax Code such an obligation was only suggested for foreign banks, after the bill comes into force it will cover all foreign organizations. That said, the Finance Ministry will define the list of documents necessary for submitting to the tax body.
