MOSCOW, April 24. /TASS/. One artillery shell fired from the territory of neighboring Ukraine fell near a village in Russia’s Belgorod Region, the chief of the district administration said on his Telegram channel on Sunday.
"One shell fired from Ukraine crashed on a farm field, and not on a cemetery, as some mass media said. There was only one shell, and not six, contrary to claims by some unreliable sources. It caused no destruction, let alone casualties. The situation in the village is calm," Vladimir Pertsev said.
The distance from the village of Otradnoye, the Belgorod Region, to the border with Ukraine is about seven kilometers. The village has some 700 residents.
