MOSCOW, October 15./TASS/. Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation is expanding the production of BE-200ChS planes to create a special squadron for putting out fires across the world, the press service of the corporation told TASS on Wednesday.

The corporation’s Beriev Aircraft Company "can ensure the production of the required number of Be-200ChS amphibious planes," the press service said. According to the corporation, it expands the batch production with a glance to the current and future orders. "In particular, two Be-200ChS amphibious planes are currently under construction at the plant by order from the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations," it noted.

Earlier, Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov proposed creating a specialized squadron of Be-200 planes for putting out natural and man-caused fires, including abroad within the framework of humanitarian projects.

Be-200 is the world’s only amphibious jet plane. It can take on board 12 tons of water. The plane has all the necessary certificates and shows high efficiency in the fight against woodland and man-caused fires in Russia and abroad.
