Russia ready for depoliticized cooperation on supply of vaccines, says ministry
Life will simply be moving towards more open cooperation patterns, said Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushkd
ATHENS, January 30. /TASS/. Russia is ready for a depoliticized cooperation on supply of anti-coronavirus vaccines to other countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told Russian reporters late on Friday in Athens following the political consultations at the Greek foreign ministry.
Asked whether the possibility of Russian vaccines deliveries to Greece were discussed during the consultations, he said: "I hope the situation will change, even regardless of political ideas and preferences. Life will simply be moving towards more open cooperation patterns. We did not discuss specifically potential supplies [at the Greek foreign ministry]. I stressed once again today that Russia is ready for a depoliticized cooperation with everyone, and we have already demonstrated that in contacts with many countries."
"And we assume that the decisions that will be taken in the EU and that would ensure a depoliticized cooperation to serve the interests of people, the issue is about certification of our vaccines by respective EU institutions, that a depoliticized approach will be employed," the diplomat noted.
