Coronavirus cases on decline in Moscow

Residents are acquiring herd immunity, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said

MOSCOW, July 25. /TASS/. Moscow records a drop in COVID-19 cases, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, and residents are acquiring herd immunity, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said in a televised interview with Rossiya’1 on Saturday.

"Morbidity is decreasing in Moscow, and herd immunity is being achieved," he said.

Along with this, the situation with coronavirus remains specific in each Russian region.

"There are regions that have passed a certain peak, and their morbidity rates are decreasing. However, we see that all the regions of the Russian Federation have sick people," the minister added.

As of July 25, Moscow has recorded over 237,000 coronavirus cases. A total of over 174,500 patients have recovered so far and 4,389 more died in the Russian capital.
