Austrian Airlines flight with foreign nationals from Moscow lands in Vienna

Austria’s embassy to Moscow told TASS earlier that the flight would take about 100 citizens of about ten European nations

VIENNA, April 7. /TASS/. A special Austrian Airlines flight with foreign citizens onboard, which took off from Moscow’s Domodedovo airport, has landed in Vienna, as follows from the Wien-Schwechat‘s timetable

Austria’s embassy to Moscow told TASS earlier that the flight would take about 100 citizens of about ten European nations.

Russian Ambassador to Austria Dmitry Lyubinsky said that the flight was organized with support from the Russian air transport authorities and the foreign ministry amid the suspension of air service between the two countries.

Austria has banned entry for people arriving by air from Russia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine in the wake of the novel coronavirus epidemic.

Austrian Airlines suspended regular services over the novel coronavirus pandemic from April 2 to May 3. The company is currently performing flights to return Austrian nationals.
