NEW YORK, March 10. /TASS/. Russians accused of allegedly meddling in the US presidential elections could have worked for an American presidential candidate, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with the NBC television network.

The Russian president said that the people at the issue "are not working for the government" and "Perhaps some of them worked for one of the (presidential) candidates.".
