Russia regrets Moldova’s decision to recall ambassador
On Monday, Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration recalled the country’s Ambassador to Russia Andrei Negutsa for consultations
MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. The decision to recall Moldova’s ambassador from Moscow, made by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, causes regret, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin told TASS on Wednesday.
"This decision causes us regret," he said.
On Monday, Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration recalled the country’s Ambassador to Russia Andrei Negutsa for consultations. "Taking into account the increased incidence of persecution of Moldova’s officials and politicians by the Russian state institutions, and the lack of response to numerous official requests by the Moldavan authorities concerning those incidents, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration has decided to recall Ambassador Andrei Negutsa for consultations for an indefinite period," the ministry said in a statement.
