MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. The Kremlin sees many worthy candidates in the upcoming Russian presidential race, but none of them can truly challenge the incumbent head of state, Vladimir Putin.
"We see many worthy people, but we see no rivals. From my point of view, there is still no real competitor for Putin, not even close," presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
When asked who may head Putin’s campaign headquarters, Peskov replied that "Putin is yet to become a candidate, and, as a future candidate, he is yet to announce his decision."
"That’s why we have no such information so far," he added.
