VIENNA, December 7. /TASS/. Russia has called on the United States to cut short Kiev’s provocative statements about its readiness to resolve the Donbass conflict by force, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday after his talks with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting.

"As a matter of fact, their [Ukrainian] government officials already say publicly that they can resolve the problem by force," he said.

"We called on Washington to thwart such provocations," he added.
