PM derides 'laughable' accusations about Russia-sponsored 'hackers'
"Everybody tries to spy on others", the prime minister says
MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. Reproaches addressed to the Russian authorities they allegedly support hacker attacks against other countries are "same old song and dance" that certain countries use for handling internal political problems, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said in a live interview to several Russian television and radio broadcasters on Thursday.
"As far as reproaches being made against us, this is a hackneyed theme and same old song and dance. We constantly hear that all hackers in the world are the Kremlin’s agents. One may think this is our sole obsession," he said.
Medvedev pointed out that in this sphere there had emerged a separate world market.
"Everybody is trying to hack into everybody else’s resources, you should have no doubts about that," Medvedev said, when asked if hackers were attacking Russia.
"Everybody tries to spy on others."
"Reproaching our country for this is laughable. Everybody understands that perfectly well. But some states have turned this into a means of handling internal political problems, a way of settling internal scores," Medvedev said.
